At CCDP children learn:
>> How to think positively, act positively, image positively, pray positively and believe positively so as to get positive results.
>> How to build relationships, to give and take, to become responsible, to enjoy and share success and face setbacks. All will have to deal with the challenges of adolescene as they move towards adulthood in an increasingly complex and sometimes uncertain world. Sometimes children may experience problems within their own famlies associated with poverty, ill health,violence, unemployment, racism, divorce or bereavement and need particular support.
>> How to set goals and achieve them by focusing with enthusiasm, belief, persistency, determination, imagination and courage.
>> How to replace a bad habit by a good one through suggestion/autosuggestion. This may be compared to the driving a nail into the board. The first tap puts the nail in place but it is only the number of heavy strokes that the nail is driven home.
>> How to develop confidence, self-esteem and courage? Mental Toughness is the ability to see see the long term gain rather than put it of by a short term pain. The greatest courage is accepting loss without losing heart.
>> How to manage both sides of the brain and to inculcate leadership and management qualities. Effective management is putting first thing first, while leadership decides what first things are?
By practicing these techniques dutifully and moment by moment,they will build them into there life as habit and beyond that they will have a life of great success and significance.
